Sunrise viewed from a the main structure of Angkor Wat, outside of Siam Reap, Cambodia.
On this magical morning, I watched the great temples of Angkor Wat emerge as daylight slowly revealled the ancient stones in their precise and grand architecture from centuries ago, first as shadows then as omnipotent temples defying the weathering of time. I was wandering through the main structure as the sun rose and turned a corner to this view, with no one around though I felt the presence of a great civilization all around me.
